►Kaalmo Orphanage Project

One of the first casualties of any war are the innocent children. And so it was no exception in  war torn Somalia. Children of all ages orphaned during the war found themselves on the streets of different cities to fend for themselves. Imagine being only 3 years old and forced to fend for yourself. A group of concerned Somali women started the Kaalmo Orphanage Center in Borama, Northwest Somalia (now Somaliland). With the help of private donors and U.N. agencies, these courageous women have done a lot so far: They built dormitories for the children and a kitchen. The center currently cares for over a 120 orphans.This orphanage is deserving of  every caring person's assistance. Just a few cents a day can feed, cloth and shelter an orphan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 ►Borama Blind and Deaf School

►Djibouti Orphanage Center

Amoud Foundation has recently added Djibouti orphanage to the list of supported Orphan centers. Following this link orphans you find the list of the 25 orphans with their bios, living areas and person in charge. Picture of each child will be updated soon. Orphans List

►Gabiley Orphange Center

Amoud Foundation Provides assistance to the Gabiley Orpahanges Centers in Somaliland. Recent assistance to the orphanage included food and clothing that was delivered to the orphans.

►Hargiesa Orphanage Center

Amoud Foundation Provides assistance to the Hargiesa Orpahanges Centers in Somaliland. Recent assistance to the orphanage included food and clothing that was delivered to the orphans

►Al Bashiir School for Deaf and Blind

This school which is located in Mogadishu, gives some of the country's most forgotten and unwanted an opportunity to improve theremselves with confidence and at the same times works to achieve their full potential. The students learn a variety of activites, such as sewing and wood-working, which is aimed at encouraging self-sufficiency. In order for these children to continue with these and many other beneficial activities, certain items such as school supplies, computers, raw materials for wood-work and sewing are needed.

Amoud Foundation  provides support and assitance for Al Bashir school of deaf and blind.
